Ratoath Harps U11B

Sunday 10th of May saw, Ratoath Harps U11B, compete in a thrilling Tom Coughlan Cup Final at the NDSL, Oscar Traynor Academy complex in Coolock.

Indeed ,the game mirrored the spectacular weather that morning with no less than six goals between the two teams. Extra time could not separate the sides and unfortunately, it took the dreaded penalty shootout to decide the outcome and it was Mid-Sutton who claimed the victory.

This was no mean feat for this young Harps squad, who wore the club crest with pride and played with flair and vigour throughout. They received many commendations for their play and behaviour, from match officials and organizers.Who would have thought that it was their first year in the Big game, in fact, who would have thought that they were the sole flag bearers for Ratoath Harps in the eleven a side Cups this season.!!!

It would be unfair to name any one or two individuals, as they were all outstanding and together have provided real entertainment throughout the season.

A season that sees them still in the hunt for league honours also. No matter the outcome these lads have done, themselves, their families and this club very proud indeed.
