The Ratoath Harps Annual Golf Classic took place on the 8th of July in Hollystown Golf Club and proved to be the biggest and best yet as over 40 fourball teams competed for the honours. On a beautiful sunny afternoon golf shorts, sun cream and plenty of "beverages" were the order of the day as the good, the bad and the downright awful battled for the overall team prize, the longest drive and nearest to the hole. In the end the team event went to Joe Tuohey’s team with Stephen Gorman winning the longest drive while Tommy Reilly finished nearest to the hole. After the exertions of the day all the players tucked into a welcome roast beef dinner followed by the prize giving and a social night in The Ratoath Inn.
